Welcome!

What is Integrative psychiatry?

Integrative psychiatry is a holistic, patient-focused approach to treatment and mental health care that is inclusive of both conventional (Western) and complementary (alternative) therapies. Understanding how different parts of our body and mind influence each other is key to overall health. In my practice, I focus on how your mental well-being can affect your physical health, and vice versa. By looking at the big picture, we can find the root causes of  issues and work on them together.
Here are some ways this approach can help:

  • Whole-Body Healing: By considering all aspects of your health, we can create a plan that supports both your mind and body, leading to better overall well-being.
  • Personalized Care: Everyone is unique. I tailor treatments to fit your specific needs, ensuring you get the best support possible.
  • Understanding Connections: Recognizing how different systems in your body interact helps in addressing issues more effectively.

This holistic approach empowers you to achieve lasting mental and physical well-being by addressing the root causes and supporting the natural connections between your mind and body.

What My Clients Say about Me

What My Clients Say about Me

I have never had any doctor or other health provider take the time to answer my questions and really make me feel heard. Vanessa took the time to make sure I understood the process, was informed of any risks, never pressured me and made sure my concerns were addressed.

When life hit hard I was thrown off track, and bad. Vanessa came to mind so I decided to reach out, so thankful I did. She helped me see I had the power to put the pieces back together, and move forward with strength. She didn't just throw a pill at me and send me the bill. She made a plan with me, and helped me see it through.

I have been given medication handouts, discharge instructions, a few health tips and basic diet or exercise tips in the past but this was the first time I walked away with a treatment plan that I could focus on that really made me feel in control of my mental wellness and recovery. My only regret is that I didn't find this kind of approach sooner.
